San Diego Skin Care Practice Adds New Facial Rejuvenation Therapy

La Jolla, CA (PRWEB) December ten, 2009

Board-certified dermatologist and San Diego facial rejuvenation specialist Dr. Susan M. Stuart (http://www.lajollaskin.com) now provides BLU-U? photodynamic therapy, a new therapy program that safely corrects acne, rosacea and specific kinds of actinic keratoses – pre-cancerous lesions triggered by sun exposure.

“We pride ourselves on offering some of the most cutting-edge and successful solutions accessible, so we’re extremely content to add the BLU-U to our lineup,” says Dr. Stuart, who specializes in the use of medical lasers for skin care. “The San Diego BLU-U remedy is convenient and comfy for patients, and it is proving to be very powerful.”

BLU-U makes use of a unique light-activated chemical together with a laser-like device to destroy acne bacteria and actinic keratoses (AKs), frequent but risky precancerous growths that give skin a rough, scaly appearance. AKs pose a high enough risk that national organizations such as the American Cancer Society advocate instant therapy, but until lately patients had to select among liquid nitrogen, a scraping device or powerful chemicals to take away the compromised tissues. In contrast to these ablative strategies, the BLU-U program for skin care in San Diego destroys AKs with a minimum of discomfort, and penetrates deeper skin layers more thoroughly.

“The common patient can anticipate to see 75 to 100 percent eradication of acne or actinic keratoses right after their treatment series, and the procedure itself is very quick,” says Dr. Stuart. “Even other laser remedies tend to be much less thorough and far much less comfy.”

Unlike older chemical remedies, the BLU-U has minimal impact on healthy tissues, given that the light-activated resolution is allowed to absorb into the dilemma tissues only. Although the outcomes take two to three months to develop totally, the treatment is quick and gentle adequate that it does not interfere with daily activities and can be appropriate for each younger and older patients. Treatments call for minimal downtime – no sun exposure for 48 hours along with mild temporary redness of treated skin.

“Many of my patients with acne and AKs are concerned with how their skin will look afterward, but this system does a excellent job of avoiding the aesthetic problems of ablative approaches,” says Dr. Stuart. “Chemical peels and other alternatives can damage surrounding tissues noticeably, but laser skin care remedies like this 1 are precise sufficient that patients usually do not need to have to be concerned that their therapy will be apparent.”

For patients who want to correct the evidence of past acne, Dr. Stuart can supplement BLU-U with San Diego acne scar therapy. She also gives a number of diagnosis and remedy choices for patients who have already created a skin cancer, but strongly urges against waiting till “benign” keratoses turn into malignant.

“These lesions can stay dormant for years, so it’s very straightforward but extremely dangerous to ignore them,” she says. “The danger is real, and with gentle remedies like the BLU-U accessible, there’s really no excuse to wait.”

Stuart (http://www.lajollaskin.com) is a board-certified dermatologist providing laser skin care, skin cancer therapies, laser hair removal, and other skin rejuvenating procedures alongside her husband and practice partner, triple board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Richard Chaffoo. No, there’s probably no way around it. It’s absolutely impossible. Since it’s just a scar there’s no way that it is medically necessary. Unless it were doing something to effect your health. There’s really nothing else you can do except pay the $ 4K for it. I would either start saving or see if they have some sort of payment plan or credit card companies they work with! Either way there’s absolutely no way that you could get a facial scar treatment covered by insurance.
